Chive Flowers

You may ask yourself, can I actually eat these tasty flowers?

I am happy to report, yes you can! Chives grow like weeds in many people's backyards and they develop these beautiful, little purple flowers. They have a wonderful mild onion flavor and look beautiful in salads.
You can separate the little purple petals and spread them over your next mixed green salad, use them as a garnish for a cheese and charcuterie platter, or even scatter them over a morning omelet.
